Texas Looks at Legislation To OK Ride Sharing Apps – Reuters
In the next few days, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is expected to sign legislation establishing a statewide system regulating ride-hailing startups like Uber and Lyft. The law exempts the companies from many of the local ordinances that led them to pull out of cities rather than comply.
